I've tried to be as helpful with the prompts as I could be, but I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever you write! Good luck!

General Likes:

Fics that are character-focused, character-driven, and deal with character exploration or character development. Show me aspects of a character I never considered before, or explorations of how a character's upbringing influences their worldviews!

Fics as challenge, whether it be a challenge on canon, on fanon, on fandom, or a comment on our own reality!

A focus on relationships, particularly how a character interacts with the world around them and other characters based on their upbringing and worldview.\

Thematically, I love when characters are put in a tough spot, moral ambiguity, and themes around honour, duty, and responsibility.

All flavours of AU. Canon-divergence, Modern AUs, Mundane AUs, crossovers, etc, especially if it interacts with one of the above.

World-building, especially through in-universe documents (please consider this an opt-in to pretty much whatever in-universe document or weird in-universe storytelling device you can dream up).

Romance of all varieties: fluff, happy endings, drunken confessions, friends-to-lovers, enemies-to-lovers, fake dating, fake marriage, arranged marriages, established relationships, slow-burn, shovel talk, and pining (mutual or otherwise).

Smut-wise, I love first times, gentle sex, rough sex, possessive themes, mild BDSM (e.g. bondage, spanking with a hand), D/s with femsub, impregnation and pregnancy.

I am always open to treats!

General Dislikes:

In general, I don't take well to crack fic, soapbox fic/issuefic (ie I do not want a character getting on a soapbox to tell me about a Real World Society Issue or Philosophy), amnesia fic, body swaps, cringe comedy, and plots based on miscommunication or jealousy. If there is hurt, I would like comfort, or I often just can't get through it—same goes for angst. That said, these are general dislikes--if you have a brilliant plot, go right ahead!

Hard DNWs:

Please note that these are my general hard DNWs--there are a lot of sections where some (or all!) of them won't apply, and in that case follow what was in the sign up or in each section below. For example, for Original Works, I am perfectly comfortable with character deaths, graphic violence and torture, non-con and dub-con, and PWP.

Character bashing. In general, I like to imagine that all characters are like people—they're complex, and they have an array of good points and bad points.

Except otherwise indicated, non-canonical major character death, graphic violence and torture, non-con or dub-con, PWP or large age differences (>15)

Adultery or infidelity (specifically, this is mostly about the betrayal--if you have a plot where two people are married for convenience and happen to have other relationships, that wouldn't trigger as long as everyone knows and doesn't care)

Smut-wise, unless it’s indicated above in my likes, I’m likely not going to appreciate anything kinky. To be more specific, I DNW A/B/O, age play, humiliation, bloodplay, cannibalism or vore, watersports, scat, mpreg, snuff, or underage (<15).

HARRY POTTER

Lots of sub-requests here! Please note that some pairings are in multiple sections, so search function if you need it! You can adopt one, or you can ignore them entirely--up to you!

Rule 63 Prompts: Draco Malfoy & None, Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley & None, Tom Riddle & None

I love a good Rule 63! Especially in Harry Potter, because gender issues are sort of rife throughout the novels, even in the more progressive areas (see: valorisation of motherhood, disrespect of characters who are pretty or like to be pretty, then there’s JKR’s comments on trans-persons). That’s what makes Rule 63 uniquely fun in this fandom for me! So:

Draco Malfoy is from a conservative, pureblood family, which means that a F!Draco Malfoy was probably raised very, very differently than her canon counterpart. How does that play out? Is she highly feminine and has she ever played Quidditch (there is one mention in PS that the Slytherin Quidditch Team is all boys)? Is she intent on making a good match for her family? Better yet, when we get into HBP, how does Voldemort victimize F!Draco as opposed to canon!Draco? Does Voldemort, who is raised in a more conservative time himself, still force F!Draco into trying to kill Dumbledore or does he punish her in the stead of her family in other ways? (note: if you decide to do this, my non-con, dub-con, graphic violence, torture, large age differences, and major character death DNWs are suspended.)

Double the Rule 63, double the fun! I got an amazing F!Draco/M!Hermione for Rule 63 exchange and ever since then I have just wanted more. How does a M!Hermione interact with the world, and with a F!Draco? Certainly, he can’t slap her the way he does in PA!

Ron Weasley: Molly had children until she had a girl, and reading between the lines, Ginny is raised differently than her brothers (she has to sneak out to the broom shed to practice flying, for example). What would happen if Ron was a girl? What if Ron was a trans girl?

Tom Riddle: Voldemort was born and raised in an earlier time, probably WW2 or thereabouts. How does a F!Tom Riddle handle the world? How does she deal with Horace Slughorn, how does she gain followers, and what does her path to conquest look like? (note: this is another request where my non-con, dub-con, graphic violence, torture, large age differences and major character death DNWs are suspended).

Percy Weasley: Pansy Parkinson/Percy Weasley, Percy Weasley & None, Percy Weasley/Oliver Wood

I am one of those people who thinks that Percy gets a bit of a short shrift in canon. His brothers make fun of him because he's dour and stiff and boring, and he's the only one of the Weasleys who is taken in by the Ministry. But if we consider his background, is this really that surprising? Unlike the rest of our characters, Percy is probably the only one who has memories of the First Wizarding War. In 1981, when Harry defeated Voldemort, Percy was about 5 or 6 years old. He was possibly the oldest Weasley child still at home (in order for the timelines in PS to make sense, Charlie has to be at least 3 years older than him, if not more). The twins were 3 or 4, Ron about 2, and Ginny a baby. Molly almost certainly put more responsibility on Percy than he should have had, there were almost certainly extremely strict rules on him at pain of Death Eater attack and the death of his whole family and in the mix of this, Percy is 6! He is exactly what his parents made him be at that age—someone who takes on too much responsibility, who follows authority rigidly because he has been taught to follow orders without questioning, because that is how you keep a 6-year-old from inadvertently getting his family killed.

So, tell me about Percy!

I am 100% down for a post-fic redemption arc for him. Hell, I am down for an AU where Percy never joins the Ministry, or where Percy is a spy for the Order within the Ministry, or where Percy is actually given the skills he needs earlier on so that he doesn't later fall for the Ministry's words.

Tell me more about Percy's relationship with the rest of his family. Tell me how out of place he feels caught between his older brothers, who are just a bit too old for him to fit with easily despite the fact that they're the ones who remember the First Wizarding War (Charlie being at least 9 or 10 and Bill even older means that while they remember it, they also had the ability to understand it), and his more rambunctious younger siblings. Tell me how rules-following Percy gets by in a family that clearly doesn't really get him.

Give me a Percy Weasley romance. It can be with Pansy as noted above, or with Oliver Wood, or with just about anyone. I don't care. I just want my boy to find himself and be happy.

Post-War Trauma and Redemption: Draco Malfoy & None, Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger/Severus Snape

I love a good fic about post-war trauma and redemption!

For Draco, he was a child when he joined the Death Eaters. I’d love to see him in the immediate post-war—how does his trial go? How do his friends treat him, when he once thought he would be a hero, and now he’s possibly a criminal? Is he tried at all? How does he come to terms with what he’s done? Yes, I’ve read a ton of Draco post-war redemption arcs, and I still want more.

I love Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy in the post-war period as well; of the main trio, Hermione is the only one with the emotional intelligence, I think, to know that she’s gone through some shit and needs to heal from it. Again, I’ve read and loved several fics dealing with this, but always want more. However, if you’re more comfortable writing an enemies-to-lovers style fic at Hogwarts, I’m also very down with this! I think there’s tons of promise here for a competitive academic ship between Hermione, #1 in every class, and Draco Malfoy, #2 in every class!

Hermione Granger/Severus Snape is also one of my favourite ships, though I strongly prefer this to happen post-canon (I am really not interested in HG/SS while Hermione is still at school). Like with Draco, I think Severus Snape needs absurd amounts of therapy, but once they got through that I think Snape is an academic sort much like Hermione.

For these requests, past referrals to non-con, dub-con, graphic violence and torture, and major character deaths are fine.

Other: Harry Potter & Dudley Dursley, Ron Weasley & None, Worldbuilding & None

And everything else!

Dudley, right at the beginning of DH, starts leaving tea at Harry’s door and making amends. I’d really love to see Harry and Dudley, as adults and post-war, coming to terms with their past and with each other—I’d love their previously combative relationship to evolve into one of mutual respect and brotherhood. They did grow up together, and they know each other in a way that pretty much no one else ever will, and they lived Harry’s abuse (and Dudley’s pampering) together. Make them friends!

Ron is the only member of the trio that never seems to break away and do his own thing. He is always overshadowed by Harry, and if not Harry, Hermione. He’s also really good-natured in that it’s really only GOF that he complains about it. Give me an intense Ron-centric fic where he shines and where he stops being just a sidekick and follower.

For Worldbuilding, I’ll take pretty much anything. Goblin culture! Magical politics! Take me to modern Wizarding America! The inner workings of the Ministry of Magic! The Quidditch League! Any character, or an original character, is fine.

TORTALL

Again, lots of prompts here! A bit less specific than above, but I hope these help.

Character and Worldbuilding Prompts: Dovasary Balitang & None, Keladry of Mindelan & None, Thom of Pirate’s Swoop & None, Worldbuilding & None

All these prompts have a lot of worldbuilding and character development potential, so here are some ideas:

For Dove, she takes the throne of the Copper Isles at about thirteen or fourteen after a revolution. Tammy doesn’t go into it, but reasonably speaking, the luarin resistance probably went on for some time. How does Dove deal with it? Tell me about Dove, about how she solidifies power in an unstable country, and how she begins interacting with the international community.

What happens to Kel after Lady Knight? Where does she go after the Scanran War? I loved the fic Lady Knight Volant, which had a huge impact on me, but where is she placed as a commander after that? Does she ever, as Raoul predicts, command the King’s Own?

For Thom of Pirate’s Swoop and None, I’d love worldbuilding around the Royal University! What is his education like? What is he like? Does he ever think about his namesake uncle while he studies sorcery?

For Worldbuilding, I’ll take pretty much anything. Give me a story from Sarain—do they see peace, by the time of PotS? What about a story from the City of the Gods—as the primary centre of learning in Tortall for centuries, how do they handle the start of the Royal University in Corus? Do they care?

Relationship Prompts: Domitan of Masbolle/Keladry of Mindelan, Sabine of Macayhill/Matthias Tunstall, Numair Salmalin/Veralidaine Sarrasri, Thom of Trebond/Alexander of Tirragen, Yukimi noh Daiomoru/Nealan of Queenscove

In general, I love AUs for these, both magical and mundane. Throw them in any different setting you like and see where it takes you!

Kel/Dom, Daine/Numair and Neal/Yuki are the pairings of my heart. I love fic where they’re getting together, or first times, or pretty much anything. What do they like about each other? What draws them to each other? When is their first kiss, where do they go after the Scanran War? I don’t know, make them kiss. Make them kiss in revolutionary France. Make them kiss on a modern college football field. Make them kiss in space! All of these are good!

For Sabine/Tunstall, pretty much the same as above, but I’d also love to explore the tensions of their respective class differences. I don’t love Mastiff (that ending came out of nowhere), but part of that might be because Tunstall’s situation was never fully explored in canon. Explore it!

For Thom of Trebond/Alexander of Tirragen, let’s be real, I would love fix-it fic! They both die and I don’t want them to die. Make them kiss, and not die.

DEAD OF WINTER

I mostly threw this in for zombie fic. This game as tons of promising fic ideas, from the mix of characters that are in the game (a Mall Santa! A pirate! Sparky the Stunt Dog!) and the catastrophes that happen. It’s also a game based around factions—because in an intense base sort of situation, people bond with particular other people, and then there’s conflict.

Write me a story from the base, with any set of characters, as they try to survive the winter while being attacked by never-ending zombies. Give me a few catastrophes, show people trying to cooperate—and succeeding, or not. Go wild!

THE SUICIDE OF RACHEL FOSTER [SAFETY]

Why am I asking for a frankly terrible video game that gave me horrendous motion sickness? Because it had a ton of promise that it just never lived up to, and for which I would very much like someone to take from the obviously terrible and incompetent writers and FIX IT.

This is a walking simulator game set in an abandoned hotel in Montana during a blizzard in the early ‘90s. The main character is Nicole, the daughter of the hotel’s proprietor, who is returning to inspect the property before selling it. Her only companion is Irving, a FEMA agent who communicates with Nicole over a primitive cell phone. Together, they dig through the hotel, searching for the truth about Rachel’s death. It's available on Steam and takes about 3 hours to play. You don't need to play it. All you need to do is read this review and watch a couple Let's Plays because it's a terrible game and the ending doesn't live up to its promise in the least.

Areas that I think that a ton of promise:

Leonard's relationship with Rachel. Leonard is a forty-year-old man and he tutors Rachel, who is Nicole’s friend. He also gets Rachel pregnant. The game doesn’t play it as abuse, but it is, and I would adore a fic where Nicole comes to terms with the fact that her father is a pedophile who abused her friend. With all the fire and swearing and flames.

Let’s talk about Nicole and The Ending That Makes No Sense. Nicole starts the game swearing and furious that she has to deal with this hotel that’s creepy and awful while dealing with bad childhood memories about the entirely justified vitriol the town threw on her father. By the end of this game, she completely loses her independence and agency. If you changed nothing about the game other than preserving Nicole’s personality, you would get a very different result. I want to see it.

Irving. Seriously, he was so distraught about his sister’s death that he creepily moved into a condemned hotel to haunt first Nicole’s father, then Nicole, under the guise of a FEMA agent? For literal years? What? Explain Irving, if you please! Fix Irving!

Rachel. This game is supposed to be about her death, and she doesn't exist. What? Tell me literally anything about her. Tell me about her being groomed by Leonard, or her own feelings, or really just anything. Just make her exist.

Claire. Really? A grown-ass woman murders a child because of jealousy, because her husband is abusing her? Really? Fix this, please. Give me a woman who realizes her husband is diddling her daughter's best friend, and what she chooses to do because of it. Don't worry about canonical characterization, Clare has none.

In terms of DNWs, this is a request where I am making an exception from my usual. Non-con, dub-con, graphic violence and torture, large age differences, adultery-infidelity, and character bashing are all fine. However, I DNW on-screen sex in this request, and I also don't want the whole plot/situation to be portrayed as "true love" the way the game does it. I am fine with the abuse, etc, but I don't want child rape apologia.

I always find OW tags to be pretty decent prompts on their own, so go wild. I’m fine with PWP with these if that’s where your mind takes you! Otherwise, I always love a good romance, and I love honour, and duty, and catching feelings, and war or revolutionary themes. I like my wars to be dirty and messy. I am specifically fine with non-con/dub-con, graphic violence and torture, and PWP with these requests.
